Marché serves up another great seasonal menu!

Nothing says summer like fresh sweet corn and ripe, red tomatoes. Marché has teamed up with local farmers once again to provide the freshest summer-inspired menu using locally grown sweet corn and tomatoes!

The menu is small, but diners will be sure to get a healthy and robust meal that includes gazpacho with garlic croutons; corn, crab, and scallion pancakes; and a smoked pork chop. Their suggested drink pairings will complete the experience, unless you decide to stay for a dessert.

Their cocktails always please, as was mentioned by a writer who came through Albany in November. From her article: "They serve inventive cocktails, including one I tried in homage to all the Dutch history in the area: Salted Caramel, with Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka, Black Lava sea salt, sugar rim, served up (shaken, strained into a chilled glass). Refreshing and not syrupy at all, since the caramel is all vodka." (You can read the full article here.)

New Brewer at Albany Pump Station

The Business Review reported today that the C.H. Evan's Brewing Company at the Albany Pump Station, a staple in downtown Albany's dining scene for thirteen years now, announced its new brewery operations manager.

From the article: "Demler, 28, is the new brewery operations manager at C.H. Evans. He replaces George de Piro, now a partner in the new Druthers Brew Pub in Saratoga Springs."

The Albany Pump Station announced their new brewery operations manager today.
And Ryan hasn't wasted any time: "So far, Demler has brewed an English Mild, English Light and three types of Belgian beer in addition to the brewery’s regular labels."

The Marché Dining Room

Marché offers farm-to-table meals that satisfy

The temperature today reached a sweltering 90 degrees in downtown Albany. The last thing you want to do is fire up the oven and cook a meal after work, right? The folks at Marché have prepared a menu based on some local, seasonal ingredients that will also keep you cool during these dog days of summer.

So what did the local farmers bring to the table today? Cucumbers and blueberries, it seems. An unlikely combination, but both evoke the essence of cool and comfortable. Check out the new specialty menu on their website by clicking here. (And they didn't forget the drink pairings, either!)
