Easter's Coming!

Easter is on its way, which means it's time to make plans for your Easter meal. For those hosting a meals at home don't forget today is the last day to order your baked goods from Saint Sophia's Greek Orthodox Greek Church. You can learn more about that here.

If you're looking for an easier option, Taste Albany will offer an East Brunch Buffet from 10:30a.m.-4 p.m. on Easter, Sunday, April 20. The buffet will include a breakfast and carving stations,   an "oceans" sea food table, mashed potato bar, lunch station, and dessert station. A "Little Bunny Station" will also be offered featuring grilled cheese, mac n cheese, chicken fingers, and carrots and ranch for children.

Reservations are required for Easter Brunch. Prices for the meal are as follows:
  • $39.95 for Adults (Ages 12+)
  • $20 for Children (Ages 6-11)
  • Free for Children under age 6

Thanksgiving Made Easy!

Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching, we're here to help you avoid the hassle that comes with all of the prep and cooking. Below is a list of restaurants that will offer dine-in and or catered/pre-cooked meals to make your holiday easier.

Offer/Info: Bucca di Beppo offers a wide variety of options for your Thanksgiving meal. Let Bucca make the food all you have to do is pick it up. Thanksgiving orders must be placed by and confirmed by 9 p.m. on November 25. $150-$275, order size pending.

Meal includes: Thanksgiving Feast - Turkey,sausage Stuffing, Garlic Mashed P otatoes, Gravy, Green Beans, Cranberry Sauce. A variety of Bucca favorites are also available for order including pasta, a variety of popular menu entrées, and a slew of Bucca desserts.


2.     Desmond to Go

Offer: The Desmond will offer Thanksgiving To Go Dinners. Pick-up will be in the Tavern on Thanksgiving. Pick-up time: starts 9am, must be picked up by 11:30am. Meal includes: 18 Pound Golden Brown Turkey, Rich Turkey Gravy, Apple Sage Stuffing, Home Style Whipped Potatoes, Glazed Sweet Potatoes, Buttered Corn, Orange Drizzled Acorn Squash Wedges, Rolls and Butter, Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce, Apple Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Freshly Made Whipped Cream, Additional Sides Can Be Ordered.

Meal: Package #1 includes 14lb Natural Turkey, Brined and Roasted. Choice of 2 pies and all side dishes. Package #2 includes 20lb Natural Turkey, Brined and Roasted. Choice of 3 pies and all side dishes listed. Side dishes include Sage, Sweet Sausage and Farm Bread Stuffing, Turkey Gravy, Buttered Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Pearl Onions, Honeyed Winter Squash Puree, Apple – Cranberry relish, Artisanal Rolls. Offer: The Albany Marriott on Wolf Road in Colonie will be serving a Thanksgiving Day buffet from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28. The price is $34.95 for adults, $12.95 for kids ages 4 to 12, free for younger than 4, plus tax.

Meal Includes: First Course: Assorted Dinner Rolls, Field Green Salad with Assorted Dressings, Cole Slaw, Fresh Fruit Salad, Pumpkin Bisque. Sides & Assortments: Brown Sugar and Butter Broiled Sweet Potatoes, Cheddar and Garlic Whipped Potatoes, Broiled Green Beans with Brown Butter, Pan Seared Arctic Char with Orange Beurre Blanc. Taste to Celebrate New Chef with Special 6-Course Menus!

In honor of their new incoming chef, Mark Graham, Taste will offer special six-course tasting menus from Wednesday, October 16 through Friday, October 18 for $59.Each day will offer different menus as

Graham will use the three-day event to find popular items to be part of his first full menu, which will be debuted on Tuesday, October 29. Each menu will be based on personal food allergies and desires.

Following this event, Taste will take part in the Bi-Annual Downtown Albany Restaurant Week from Saturday, October 19 through Friday, October 25.

Taste is a vibrant take on contemporary fine dining overlooking the beautiful Albany skyline located at 45 Beaver Street.  Reservations aren't required by are recommended and can be made online or by phone: (518) 694-3322.

Taste restaurant recruits talent in the kitchen

Downtown Albany will have a new chef come October, just in time for Downtown Albany's Restaurant Week.

Taste restaurant welcomes Chef Mark Graham, currently a sous chef at Max London's in Saratoga Springs. Graham is working on the Restaurant Week menu now that will be featured during the event, which runs October 19-25. Following, his new menu will debut on October 29.

Restaurant Week is an opportunity for downtown Albany restaurants to showcase their culinary skills while remaining affordable to a wide variety of diners. Each meal must have a value of at least $35.00, but should not be sold for more than $20.13. The event is presented by the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District. Culinary for a Cause: MS Fundraiser at Taste

Go out on the town - and support a good cause!


This Friday, July 12, from 5 - 8 pm, head over to Taste to enjoy drink specials, raffles, and great dining to benefit Carley and Marisa's efforts to raise funds for the 50-Mile Challenge, a 3-day 50-mile fundraising walk as part of the MS Society.


A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the team's fundraising efforts.

Live Music on Taste's Outdoor Patio Tonight!

Tonight is opening night for Taste's outdoor patio live music series!

Come downtown on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7 - 10 pm to enjoy drinks from their new drink menu while listening to great music and good company, all for a $5 cover charge.
