Food Truck Fun Downtown this Summer

We got word today that the Downtown Albany BID is calling for food truck vendors to participate in their “Fork in the Road” event. In conjunction with 1st Friday Albany, “Fork in the Road” will take place at Tricentennial Park (Broadway and Columbia Street) in downtown Albany from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on May 1, June 5, August 7, September 4, and October 2, 2015. The vendor application is available online at downtownalbany.org.

These monthly events will align perfectly with 1st Friday Albany, the monthly arts and culture event. During the family-friendly “Fork in the Road”, Tricentennial Park will become host to evenings with unique food and music against the backdrop of Downtown’s history and architecture.

Downtown Albany culinary favorite, Angelo's 677 Prime, will introduce a new six course tasting menu with a theme on early spring. You can find the entire new menu on Steve Barnes Table Hopping Blog. The tasting is available nightly at $75 per person.

Score Big Deals Before/After the Game at Legends on Pearl!

The reasons to enjoy a game at the Times Union Center in Downtown Albany just went up. Legends on Pearl is offering a new promotion for attendees of Siena College Basketball Games and Albany Devils hockey games. 

Ticket holders can get a variety of specials on the day the ticket is for. Special offers include $3 samplers, $2 Beers (miller lights), and $4 specials for wine and fireball shots.

The discount will be available before games and until 10 p.m. after a loss for the home team. The offer will run until midnight on the days that the hometeam(s) win. Not a bad way to spend the day, Legends is loacted at 84 North Pearl Street.
